Compliance at EFP

Endwell Family Physicians is committed to providing our patients with high-quality and caring medical service and ensuring these services are provided in accordance with the highest ethical, business, and legal standards. Our Compliance Program sets forth the steps EFP takes to achieve this goal.

Our Compliance Program

Our Compliance Program follows the elements set forward by the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General. There are seven core elements:
  1. Written policies and procedures that describe compliance expectations;
  2. A designated compliance officer and compliance committee;
  3. Education and training of all Affected Individuals;
  4. Effective line of communication for all Affected Individuals, which must guarantee the confidentiality of all reporting persons;
  5. Established disciplinary standards and implemented procedures for the enforcement of such stands to address potential violations and encourage good faith participation in the compliance program;
  6. Routine auditing and monitoring of compliance risks; and
  7. Response to compliance issues that is designed and implemented to prevent, detect, and correct non-compliance, including fraud, waste, and above most likely to occur for the provider’s risk areas and organizational experience.

All providers, employees, contractors, and vendors are required to comply with the EFP compliance plan. They are also required to follow the EFP Code of Conduct. Onboarding to the compliance plan is provided, and annual training is required of employees as well as certain contractors and vendors who may be impacted by one of the compliance risk areas.

Compliance concerns can be reported as follows:

  • Call EFP and ask for the Practice Manager at 607-754-3863
  • Submit a written concern to EFP at 415 Hooper Rd, Endwell, NY 13760, attn: Compliance Officer

EFP follows a policy of non-retaliation against those who report in good faith a concern they reasonably believe to be true. Our Whistleblower Policy outlines protections under Sections 740 and 741 of the New York State Labor Law.
